LinkCode Cloud
What signing in to LinkCode Cloud adds — reaching your hosts remotely and connecting a messaging platform — and what it deliberately doesn't change.
LinkCode Cloud is your LinkCode account. Nothing in LinkCode requires one: agents run on your machine, against your files, whether you're signed in or not. Signing in adds the features that need an identity shared between your devices.
Signing in
Use Sign in to LinkCode Cloud in the sidebar footer. The same menu is where you manage your account or sign out afterwards.
What it adds
Remote access. Once you're signed in, the sidebar grows a Remote access section listing the hosts on your account that are currently online. Selecting one points this desktop app at that host instead of your local one, so you can work against a machine you're not sitting at.
Messaging. Connect a Telegram group and drive threads from your phone — see messaging.
What it doesn't change
- Agents still run on the host, on real files, as the OS user running it. Signing in doesn't move execution anywhere.
- Credentials stay on the host, in its encrypted local store. Your Cloud sign-in is one more entry there, not a copy of your API keys. See local data.
- Traffic between your devices and a remote host is encrypted in transit.
Signing out
Signing out removes that credential and the account record from the host and stops it from being reachable remotely. Your threads, workspaces, and agent settings are untouched — they were never in the account to begin with.
